The fourth edition of the TVC will take place on Saturday October 11, 2014 and once again feature a Start/Finish in Old Town Temecula. "It was an amazing site to see over 500 cyclists pedal the streets of Old Town Temecula. We are so very proud of the City of Temecula for sponsoring our 2013 event, the staff and police did a tremendous job! We are excited about being here again in 2014 and promise to deliver another outstanding event" commented promoter George Niotta.
"With the move to Temecula for the 2013 event we made some changes to our format. We added a no-frills price point to attract more participants, we also did something that most rides don't do, we allowed participants to "roll over" their registration to 2014 should they not be able to ride. We are always looking to give our riders the best bang for the buck and we plan to continue that tradition in 2014" said Niotta, who returns as Ride Director for the event.
TVC plans to open registration January 30, 2014.

Thanks to the superb support from Temecula Velo, we are now onto our third and final installment of Century Training Rides. The next course segment will take place this Sunday, September 15th with 7 a.m. start time at Bicycle Warehouse and a 40 mile ride through the valley. The ride is fully supported and free to all registered riders. For more information on the route, check out the ride map on Ride With GPS.
We hope to see you out on the road this weekend!
Check out this awesome video from our pre-event training ride this past August 17th. Start your training out with a fully supported ride with Temecula Velo and Bike 365. Learn the course, know the road and get waved at instead of honked at by passing cars. Also get to know a little bit about Bike 365 from Sasha, Mary and Rick!
We weren't riding dirty, but we rolled out 100 strong on our second training ride hosted by Temecula Velo and Jax Bicycle Center in Murrieta on Saturday, August 17.
For maximum rider comfort level, Temecula Velo divided riders into three training groups, gave a quick run down of the course, fueled up on an assortment of beverages and healthy snacks before heading out on a 38 mile ride. The ride took members of Jax Bicycle Club and pre-registered TVC riders through a course segment up a 3,500’ climb through parts of Murrieta including Clinton Keith and La Cresta.
To combat the rather hot temps, members of Temecula Velo were on hand following the riders and setting up mini SAG stations, in addition to mechanical support.
Come out to our third training ride on Sunday, September 15, 7 a.m. at Bicycle Warehouse in Temecula. All rides are free and open to pre-registered 2013 TVC riders.
Alrighty guys, the wait is over. Contest time again...
We'll keep this short and sweet. All riders registered by August 30th for any of the rides, with the exception of the free ten-miler, are eligible to win a set of Novatec Jetfly wheels.
To check out the detailed specs on these bad boys head over to Novatec's website. But here's skinny on them:
- They look cool.
- They roll fast.
- They're light weight at 1,435 grams.
- They're tubeless ready.
- They're tough enough to be everyday training wheels.
- You want them.
Register before the end of the month to have a shot at not only being Jetfly... but attending the best bike party anywhere!
